LAS Meeting on April 16

The Longmont Astronomical Society will meet 7 to 9 pm in the Community Room (Rm #1480-82) at the Front Range Community College, 2190 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO on Thursday, April 16th. 

The speaker is Dr. Sean Raymond with Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy (CASA) at the University of Colorado. His research focuses on the formation of terrestrial planets, paying particular attention to potentially habitable, Earth-like planets. He also studies how giant planets form, strategies for finding Near-Earth Objects (a.k.a. killer asteroids) and extrasolar planetary systems.
