The “Dark Skies & Deep Space: A New Moon Astronomy Night” event is a cooperative effort with City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, Fiske Planetarium, Dark Sky Colorado, and the Longmont Astronomical Society.
The star party is at Beech open space (north of Boulder off Neva road). Volunteers bringing telescopes are not required to register but the general public is asked to register at https://volunteer.bouldercolorado.gov/event/637337-Dark-Skies-and-Deep-Space-A-New-Moon-Astronomy-Night
Sunset is about 7:48 pm so a good time for setting up telescopes would be around 7:30.
