Open Forum and LAS Officer Elections

At the November meeting, we will have officer elections. Then it will be an open forum. LAS members are invited to give a short (about 10 -15 minutes) presentation on an astronomy related topic.

Possible topics

  • Tell us how you are using AI to assist you with astronomy. An observing or imaging project that you are doing
  • Talk about an image you have taken – what is in it, equipment used, how you processed it
  • Interesting techniques you have learned about
  • Great objects in some constellation or fun things to observe next month

Just about anything astronomy related that interests you will probably interest others as well

You may present in-person or via Zoom. Not mandatory, but it would be helpful, if you let Vern know that you would like to present and your topic before the meeting.

The open positions and their duties are listed below. Please step up and nominate yourself for any position. There will be ample support to help train you for your new position.
